Our Voices

In their own words.

One club, one set of colours — the thread that’s tied this community together for 130 years. Hear from the committee and the players — then share your own.

The committee

From the people who run the club.

The volunteers behind the registrations, the fundraising, the canteen rosters and the committee meetings.

Premier League committee · CR4K runner

Sharron Walker

“The club is part of the community and supporting local charities is important to us.”

The players

From the people on the field.

Players and volunteers, in their own words.

Vice President (Premier League) · Senior women · Player

Emma McFayden

“From struggling to pull one women’s team together, we now have three. The club is a welcoming place for women to play.”

Club legend · lost 2011

Peter “Spider” Jones

“These are my mates, and Dudley is my club.”

A local coal miner who played 400 senior matches for Dudley Redhead and turned down bigger clubs to stay with his mates. A Supporters Hill at the club is named after him, and the first senior cup of every season — the Spider Jones Cup — is played in his memory.
