For under-12s.
Just learning to play.
MiniRoos is for kids aged 6 to 11. It's small-sided football (smaller field, fewer players) with no scores published and no league tables — the focus is on getting touches on the ball and having fun.
Girls-only teams run when there are enough players, and every player gets equal time on the field.
- Age groups: U6 · U7 · U8 · U9 · U10 · U11
- Kit: Club shirt supplied to new MiniRoos players. Shorts and socks from the club shop.
For ages 12 to 18.
Competition football.
From under-12 through under-18, community teams play in the Macquarie Football competition — real matches with scores and ladders, qualified coaches and weekly training. We aim for two teams per age group when there are enough players, graded so everyone ends up on a team that suits their level.
There’s a path beyond community football too. Players who want to push on can keep progressing through our teams towards the club’s Premier League side — senior football at Lydon Oval, Dudley, in NNSW Northern League One.
- Age groups: U12 · U13 · U14 · U15 · U16 · U17 · U18
Under 6 to All Age.
The whole way through.
Girls play right through this club. Girls-only teams start at Under 6 in MiniRoos, carry on through the junior competition age groups, and the pathway runs all the way to our All Age Women side. Where an age group is short of a girls-only team, girls join the mixed team — and plenty do.
Girls’ football is booming here — the club has fielded more female MiniRoos players than male for two seasons running. Never played before, or played at school and stopped? Either is fine — get in touch and we’ll find the right team.
- Age groups: Under 6 to All Age — girls-only MiniRoos (U6–U11), junior competition (U12–U15) and All Age Women
Over 35s and All Age.
Keep the boots on.
Football doesn’t stop when you age out of the juniors. The club runs All Age men’s and women’s sides and Over 35s for the older legs — competitive enough to matter, relaxed enough to enjoy.
Whether you came up through the club, are coming back after years off, or have never played a game in your life — there’s a side that suits. Same club, same canteen, same Liles Oval.
- Grades: All Age · Over 35 · All Age Women
Want to help out?
The club runs on volunteers. Each season we need coaches, team managers, ground marshals and canteen helpers. The club covers any training and qualifications — you give an hour or two a week.
