From sign-up to first kick — three steps.
Create or sign in to PlayFootball.
Head to playfootball.com.au and either log in or create a new account for your player. You'll need a passport-style photo and proof of date of birth.
Choose Dudley Redhead United.
Search for "Dudley Redhead United FC", pick the right age group and pay through PlayFootball. You'll see the season fees at checkout.
Pay & await communication.
For MiniRoos (Under 6–11) there are no gradings — once you've registered and paid, you're done. From Under 12, players may attend a short grading session when numbers require it. The club will be in touch with team and training details. Welcome to the club.

MiniRoos
On PlayFootball
Includes registration with Football Australia, NNSW Football, Macquarie Football and DRUFC, player insurance, ground fees and referee fees — plus a complimentary playing jersey for every new DRUFC player.
Community
On PlayFootball
The same as MiniRoos — registration at every level, player insurance, ground fees and referee fees — without the complimentary jersey.
Girls' Football

Same fee structure as the equivalent boys' or mixed age group. Girls-only teams where numbers allow.

Free
Coaching or managing your child's team? Your registration is on the club. We'll cover your accreditation course too.

A few things you should know.
We want everyone to have a good time at Liles Oval — players, parents, opposition, refs, the lot.
- Kit: Black shorts, black socks, club shirt. Club shirt supplied to new MiniRoos players; shorts and socks from the club shop, or the canteen pre-season.
- Pets: Welcome on a lead, off the playing surface.
- Behaviour: Refs are mostly volunteers and often teenagers. Sledging from the sideline isn't who we are — we expect everyone to behave the way we expect our kids to.
The questions we hear every year.
When do registrations open and close?
Registration dates are announced each season on the club’s Facebook page and the home-page noticeboard — typically opening early in the new year, ahead of the season kicking off in April.
What do I need to provide on first sign-up?
A passport-style head-shot of the player, and proof of date of birth (e.g. Medicare card or birth certificate). PlayFootball walks you through it.
What if my child has never played before?
Perfect — most of our MiniRoos start exactly like that. Just register for their age group and tell us at sign-up that they're brand new. We'll match them with experienced coaches.
Is there a grading process?
Not for MiniRoos (Under 6–11) — register, pay and you're done. From Under 12, players are graded when numbers require it, so everyone plays at a level that suits them. It's a friendly, blind process — assessors score bib colours and shirt numbers, not names — and every player gets a team. The club will be in touch with your team and training details.
Can my child play if we live outside the catchment?
Absolutely. We're a community club but we welcome anyone who wants to be part of it. Plenty of families travel from across Lake Macquarie and Newcastle.
How do refunds work?
Refunds are handled by the registrar case-by-case — email drufc.registrar@gmail.com as early as you can if your plans change.
