Charlotte “Charlie” Carr was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma at eight and a half months old, in 2007, and passed away in April 2015 after fighting it for more than seven years. While she was in treatment, Charlie wanted to raise money for art and craft supplies for other children with cancer at John Hunter Children’s Hospital — and her family carried that wish on as Charlie’s Run 4 Kids.

Each year a team of runners — players, parents, partners and friends, many with a Dudley Redhead connection — covers the 150 km from Seal Rocks to Dudley, supporting local families facing childhood cancer.
